Lizzo fired back at an online user who accused her of taking Ozempic for weight loss.
After a fan commented on the singer’s Instagram post on Thursday, “Did she take Ozempic or snort coke?”, the 36-year-old Grammy winner responded with a question of her own.
“whyaaaa (sic) are you following me?” the “Truth Hurts” singer replied on Friday, along with a series of crying face emojis.
Lizzo also highlighted the user’s comment on Saturday with another Instagram post that included a screenshot of the social media user’s profile.
“‘OzeMpIc or Coke?'” – a fan 😭😭😭😭,” she wrote in the caption.
On the carousel, the “Good as Hell” singer poked fun at the Ozempic allegations with a cheeky video in which she wore a red silk bathrobe and styled her braids into a low ponytail.
“When you finally get Ozempic accusations after 5 months of strength training and calorie deficit,” the Grammy winner wrote on the second slide.
Lizzo even joked that the allegations were “like a reward” for her after spending months in the gym.
Shortly after she sharply criticized the online user, many of Lizzo’s followers commented that she had defended herself.
“I love calling people out without mentioning their names or anything. About time,” wrote one admirer, while another joked, “And even if it WAS Ozempic, IT’S OKAY!!!!!”
A third fan also called out Lizzo for publicly shaming the user, writing, “I love that the public is calling this out! He was messing around and figured it out!”
The pop star has documented her weight loss over the past few months with a series of posts showing off her slimmer figure.
On Thursday, Lizzo stripped off and showed off her curves in a bra and underwear.
In the audio recording of the clip, Nicki Minaj can be heard clapping back when people discuss her looks.
“The fact that you even talk about the way I look is crazy,” Lizzo mouthed to the rapper. “I’m a bad bitch, always been a bad bitch.”
