In the dispute over residency rights, RFK Jr. now claims to “own” a house in New York

Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. raised further questions in the legal dispute over his residency by claiming in a fundraising appeal that he “owns a house” in New York.

“Think about it: What do you call someone who owns a home in New York, is registered to vote there, and pays taxes in the state? A resident of New York!” said the email that the Kennedy-Nicole Shanahan campaign team sent to its supporters.

The call sharply accused the Democratic National Committee of trying to throw him out of the race by challenging his office.

The Post reported in May that the independent candidate had listed his voting address as 84 Croton Lake Road in Katonah. According to court records, the property was in foreclosure proceedings for nonpayment.

The rightful owner of the property is Barbara Moss, the wife of longtime RFK friend Timothy Haydock, a Westchester doctor.

Neighbors said they had never seen Kennedy, but the candidate insisted that this was his official residence.

He did not claim that he currently owns a house in New York.

Before announcing his candidacy for president, Kennedy spent most of his time at his home in Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, who starred in the HBO series “Drop It, Larry!”

RFK was in court in Albany last week to fight a lawsuit alleging he falsely claimed to live in New York.

The lawsuit was filed by Clear Choice PAC, a Democratic super PAC now led by Vice President Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden announced he would not seek re-election.

Judge Christina Ryba is expected to announce a ruling in the dispute over the residence permit this week.

There was no immediate comment from the Kennedy campaign team.
