A blatant statistic from Dak Prescott costs the Dallas Cowboys in the offensive

A blatant statistic from Dak Prescott costs the Dallas Cowboys in the offensive

The Dallas Cowboys’ epic comeback came to a close as the team lost its second straight game at home to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Going into the fourth quarter, it looked like the Cowboys would suffer another embarrassing loss.

On paper, this Cowboys team should perform better than fans saw earlier in the season.

So what could be the problem?

A number all too familiar to the quarterback with an annual salary of $60 million entering this season, the Cowboys’ playmaker is averaging 5.9 yards per pass attempt this season, an astonishing number for an offense and quarterback that should take advantage of wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s talent to move the ball vertically down the field.

The Cowboys have not been able to produce good long passes this season and the blame could be placed on the untested receivers who have fallen victim to names like Lamb and Brandin Cooks.

However, if you make your quarterback the richest man on the field, it shouldn’t be too much to ask him to take some risks, right?
