Olivia Munn and John Mulaney are now parents of two children.

On Sunday, the couple announced on Instagram that they had a daughter named Méi June Mulaney on September 14.

“My heart exploded,” Munn wrote, adding that her daughter’s name means “plum” in Chinese.

Mulaney and Munn married in July and had their son, Malcom, in 2021.

Munn said she and Mulaney had their daughter through a surrogate.

“I had so many deep emotions about not being able to carry my daughter,” she said. “When I first met our surrogate, we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much kindness and understanding that I knew I had found a true angel.”

She added: “I cannot express my gratitude for protecting our baby for nine months and making our dreams come true.”

In March, Munn was diagnosed with a form of breast cancer known as luminal B cancer. The cancer was found in both breasts and Munn’s treatment included a bilateral mastectomy.

She spoke openly about her journey.

Munn told Vogue in an interview published in May that she had a hysterectomy the month before, which she said would improve her quality of life but also meant she would not be able to carry any more children. She said they planned to expand their family through surrogacy in the future.
