The Washington Commanders lead the Cincinnati Bengals 21-13 at halftime of their Monday Night Football game in Week 3.

The Bengals went on offense first and it didn’t take long for quarterback Joe Burrow to find star receiver Ja’Marr Chase for a 41-yard touchdown, giving them an early 7-0 lead.

The Commanders responded when quarterback Jayden Daniels quickly brought Washington into Cincinnati territory, but faced a fourth-and-2 attempt at the Bengals’ 32-yard line.

Rather than settle for a field goal, Quinn went for it and Daniels found rookie wide receiver Luke McCaffrey for a 30-yard gain that gave the Commanders a first-and-goal at the 2-yard line. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. recovered the ball a few plays later and tied the game.

Washington’s defense finally managed to stop a drive, and kicker Evan McPherson missed a field goal. Daniels and the Commanders went back to work, and running back Austin Ekeler scored a 24-yard touchdown to give Washington a 14-7 lead.

Washington’s defense prevented Cincinnati from attempting another field goal, but this time McPherson made it and cut the lead to 14-10.

The Commanders stayed aggressive as Daniels found Terry McLaurin on a 55-yard pass for another first-and-goal drive. Daniels put the ball in the end zone on the next play, making it 21-10 Washington.
