Cheapest Store in New Jersey for Back to School Shopping
According to an article in the Asbury Park Press, the best place to shop is Walmart. The total consumables will cost you about $67.
After Walmart comes Dollar General ($70.50), then Target ($83.25), and after Target comes Staples ($101.60).
The most expensive store for back-to-school shopping is Michael’s, where you’ll spend $185.28 on all your school supplies.
Amazon is also more expensive than Walmart.

Everything is just so expensive, so it’s always helpful to keep some money in your wallet!
The article states that the average cost of school supplies for elementary school students is $69.71. For middle school, it is $152.92 and for high school, it is $133.29.
