The hearing scheduled for Tuesday on the sale of Steward Healthcare’s three Valley hospitals has been postponed again.

Lawyers for the bankrupt hospital system filed a document in court on Sunday announcing that the hearing announced for Tuesday afternoon on the sale of hospitals in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Texas has been postponed to a date to be determined.

Late last month, Steward canceled a planned auction of Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Howland and Sharon Regional Medical Center in Mercer County after receiving no “qualified” bids.

The Attorney General of Pennsylvania and the Christian H. Buhl Legacy Trust, formerly known as the Buhl Trust for Sharon Regional Health System, have jointly opposed the sale of Sharon Regional Medical Center.

The same document filed Sunday shows that the hearing on the sale of Stewardship Health and Steward’s Hospitals in Arkansas, Louisiana and Massachusetts was postponed from Tuesday to Thursday.

Finally, the hearing on the sale of Steward’s hospitals in Arizona and Florida and four hospitals in Texas was postponed from August 22 to September 10. The bid period for these hospitals ends on August 26.
