RANCHO CORDOVA – A car caught fire at a gas station in Sacramento County over the weekend.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning at the Chevron gas station on the corner of Folsom Boulevard and Hazel Avenue.

According to Metro Fire of Sacramento, someone pulled off Highway 50 after feeling his car shake. Apparently, one of his rear tires had blown out.

Not knowing that the broken rear tire was on fire, the driver drove to the gas station, where the car would soon burst into flames.

The fire brigade arrived on the scene in time to extinguish the flames before anyone was injured. However, a petrol pump was damaged in the incident.
