Jennifer Lopez visited Ben Affleck’s rental home after spending a day shopping with his son Samuel as the couple nears a divorce.
Late Sunday afternoon, paparazzi caught Lopez, 55, arriving alone at Affleck’s estate in Brentwood, California, and staying there for nearly five hours.
The singer wore a white linen sweater, which she combined with sneakers, a small handbag, large earrings and sunglasses.
She wore her caramel-colored hair straight and open and wore minimal makeup.
The singer’s driver, who had dropped her off earlier in the day, returned to pick her up around 8 p.m. local time, but Lopez did not come out of the house until around 9:45 p.m.
Although her marriage to 51-year-old Affleck is over, her children and stepchildren seem to come first.
Lopez has twins Emme and Max (16) with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck is raising children Violet (18), Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12) with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Around noon on Sunday, photographers spotted Lopez and Emme arriving at Garner’s home, also in Brentwood.
The duo went inside and about 15 minutes later, the Grammy winner came out with Samuel, who was wearing a navy blue printed T-shirt, black jeans and sneakers.
It is assumed that Emme was dropped off there to hang out with Seraphina.
Lopez and Samuel then went on a shopping spree, walking around with their arms around each other. At one point, Samuel even took a photo of her with fans.
First, the two went to Neiman Marcus, where they spent about an hour. As they left the department store, Samuel was photographed holding a bag of Creed cologne.
The two then spent nearly three hours at Century City Mall and were photographed leaving the mall with several shopping bags.
While they were at the mall, a paparazzi asked Lopez if she was shopping for Affleck’s birthday, which is on Thursday. She just laughed.
Lopez and Samuel then got in their car and returned to Garner’s residence, where the former left Samuel and picked up Emme.
Lopez’s driver then took her to Affleck’s apartment building.
Speculation about a separation between the two began in early May after the 51-year-old actor and director did not accompany his wife to the Met Gala.
They then spent most of the summer apart, including the couple’s second wedding anniversary and her birthday.
They also didn’t always wear their wedding rings and Lopez was caught liking an Instagram post about unhealthy relationships.
Their shared Beverly Hills residence is still for sale, but that hasn’t stopped Affleck from buying an apartment in Pacific Palisades.
Lopez, for her part, is currently house hunting in the Los Angeles area.
The A-listers, who called off their engagement in 2004 before reconciling in 2021, tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022.
“They got carried away by the moment. Jennifer had wanted this wedding – the dresses, the girlfriends, all the frills and embellishments – for decades,” an insider told Page Six last week.
“They’ve put all the unfinished business from over 20 years ago behind them. They’ve seen things through to the end – and they now know for sure that they’re not built for the long haul.”
The source added that the couple had “no more unanswered questions” because “they’ve seen everything they needed to see.”
“It’s over,” the insider insisted. “Ultimately, it will be the most complex and expensive closing exercise ever.”
A source previously told us that the Oscar winner would seek a “divorce on the grounds of temporary incompetence” if he could.
“He feels like the last two years have been a fever dream,” the insider said, “and now he’s come to his senses.”
