The former lovebirds have been living apart for months amid rumors that they are planning to end their marriage.

According to reports, Jennifer Lopez’s visit is not a sign of reconciliation, but rather she wanted to spend some time with Ben Affleck’s children, who are very dear to her heart.

They shared that Lopez only did this to spend time with Affleck’s children Violet (18), Seraphina (Fin), 15, and Samuel, whom he has with his ex Jennifer Garner. Lopez now has twins Max and Emme (16) with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

“Just because she’s not with Ben doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about his kids,” the insider told the publication.

They added: “They have always taken care of her. Last year she spent months looking for the perfect house for her blended family. Now that she’s back in LA, she wants to spend a lot of time with them before school starts again and Violet goes off to college.”

During the visit, Lopez took on her motherly role and accompanied Samuel to the mall, where they spent a lovely time together.

Coincidentally, one of the rare moments Lopez and Affleck saw each other together in recent months was with Samuel.

In March, the trio attended a Los Angeles Lakers game against the Golden State Warriors and sat in prime courtside seats. In June, Lopez and Affleck attended Samuel’s basketball game in Santa Monica, although they did not arrive together.
