According to data from the Digital Entertainment and Retail Association, film sales and rentals in the UK totaled over $273 million (£213.7 million) in the first six months of the year, up 5.4% from $258.8 million (£202.7 million) in the same period last year.

Driven by U.S. studio releases, digital movie download and rental revenues increased by over 11%, while packaged media sales and rentals declined by 4.7%.

Top-selling titles in the first six months of the year included Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Dune: Part 2; Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment; Kong Fu Panda 4 (Universal Pictures Home Entertainment); A Colt for all occasions (Universal); Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (Warners); Bob Marely: One Love (Paramount Home Entertainment); Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (Warner) and Wonka (Warner).
