New restaurant announces grand opening date in Egg Harbor City

Located on Saint Louis Avenue in Egg Harbor City is the building known to many locals as the historic Roesch Hotel. In addition to the hotel, the building has housed restaurants such as The Egg Harbor Festhaus & Biergarten, McKee’s Irish Pub and Giacomo’s for the past 40 years.

But 2024 will mark a new chapter in the building’s history, as a new business will open its doors. The new establishment is described as a “brand new neighborhood bar” and the owners have a set date for the grand opening.

Nearly a month after first announcing it on social media, the Inn on St. Louis has announced its grand opening date, opening to the public at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 16.

Who are the owners of this new restaurant in Egg Harbor City?

Restaurant owner Ryan Beebe tells me that the Inn on Saint Louis will be open Friday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. the first weekend. After August 18, the new eatery will be open every Thursday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Ryan Beebe has worked as a bartender and server in the hospitality industry in South Jersey for the past decade. He is also the lead singer and bassist for the band Goalkeeper. Ryan brings his passion for hospitality and his expertise in digital media to the Inn on Saint Louis as general manager of the new property.

His partner in the new restaurant is Ken Schaffera veteran of the restaurant industry. Schaffer has worked as an event DJ for decades and is the founder of Schaffer Sound DJs. He is well known in South Jersey for his work with the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine. Ken has many years of experience behind the scenes at various South Jersey restaurants and brings his unique expertise to Egg Harbor City.

According to Ryan Beebe, they will announce the full menu in the days leading up to the grand opening. For more details on the new restaurant, check out The Inn on Saint Louis’ Facebook and Instagram pages.
