JetBlue now partners with Vrbo

JetBlue now partners with Vrbo

There’s a new way to earn miles when you stay at a vacation property with a major U.S. airline.

On Monday, JetBlue announced a new partnership with Vrbo.

As part of the link, you can now book Vrbo stays through JetBlue’s Paisly platform, the airline’s travel booking site for non-flight reservations. This means you can earn JetBlue TrueBlue points for Vrbo reservations and earn Mosaic elite status – including a generous bonus opportunity in the coming weeks.

This move is a win for customers who want to book more spacious vacation accommodations than traditional hotel rooms, such as a beach house or a cozy mountain cabin for a fall getaway.

While Vrbo is already part of a loyalty program called One Key, which also includes online travel agencies Expedia and Hotels.com, this partnership between Vrbo and JetBlue offers travelers the opportunity to earn loyalty points with a major airline program when they stay at a Vrbo property.

What is Paisley?

Paisly by JetBlue is a travel products subsidiary of JetBlue. The site lets you book non-flight travel services, from hotel stays to car and home rentals—now through Vrbo.

How to earn TrueBlue points through Paisly

TrueBlue members who book travel or make other purchases through Paisly can earn 1 TrueBlue point per dollar spent. They can also earn Mosaic Elite status, earning 1 Mosaic tile for every dollar spent on Paisly.

Note that 50 tiles is the qualification limit for the first-tier Mosaic 1 status, but earning just 10 tiles will give you first chance at the Perks You Pick menu, which includes rewards such as free in-flight alcoholic beverages on a trip, early boarding, and priority security screening, among others. (You can choose additional perks when you reach 20, 30, and 40 tiles.)

For example, let’s say I wanted to book a week on the Outer Banks in North Carolina and spent $2,500 on an ocean-view beach house that I booked through Paisly on Vrbo.

That would give me 2,500 TrueBlue points and 25 Mosaic tiles – halfway to Mosaic 1 elite status. A $5,000 reservation would earn you status directly.

Remember, you can also earn 1 Mosaic tile per $1,000 spent on certain JetBlue co-branded credit cards, so if you have a JetBlue card, this is a handy way to rack up that earnings.

August promotion

To celebrate the new partnership, JetBlue is also offering a bonus points promotion.

Now through August 25, earn 3 TrueBlue points per dollar spent on Vrbo reservations made through Paisly.

That means a $3,000 stay will earn you 9,000 TrueBlue points, which is often more than enough for a one-way domestic flight — and could get you a good chunk of a larger redemption.

Conclusion

Finding ways to earn loyalty points with a major airline or hotel program often requires a little creative thinking when booking on a site like Airbnb or Vrbo – although it is Are Ways to do this.

This new partnership between Paisly by JetBlue and Vrbo offers travelers just that.

The long weekends or week-long stays common with Vrbo bookings can add up to big expenses, and this new partnership offers another way to be fully rewarded for the price you pay—above and beyond the cost you pay with a rewards credit card.

If you fly regularly with JetBlue, the $3,000 beach house reservation could help you earn elite status with Mosaic — or earn you a redemption in the airline’s premium Mint cabin.
