Salt Lake City International Airport and Sky Harbour Announce Development of Hangar Campus

Salt Lake City International Airport and Sky Harbour Group Corporation announced the signing of a lease agreement to develop a Sky Harbour Home Base hangar campus on 8.4 acres at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).

The campus is expected to create or retain hundreds of local jobs and provide significant economic benefits to the state of Utah, Salt Lake City and Salt Lake City International Airport.

“Sky Harbor will not only add significant value to the SLC International Airport campus, but will also benefit the city, state and region,” said Bill Wyatt, executive director of the Salt Lake City Department of Airports. “We look forward to working with Sky Harbor to expand SLC’s business aviation industry.”

Tal Keinan, Chairman and CEO of Sky Harbour, said, “Salt Lake City International Airport is a jewel in the growing Rocky Mountain region and one of the fastest growing business airports in the country. This home base campus will be Sky Harbour’s second facility serving the Rocky Mountain region. Sky Harbour is honored to join the SLC community and is committed to bringing the long-term benefits of a Sky Harbour campus to Salt Lake City and the state of Utah.”

The Salt Lake City International Airport campus joins Sky Harbor campuses currently operating at Houston’s Sugar Land Regional Airport, Nashville International Airport, Miami Opa-Locka Executive Airport and San Jose Mineta International Airport; there are also campuses under development at Denver’s Centennial Airport, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, Dallas’ Addison Airport, Chicago Executive Airport, Bradley International Airport, Hudson Valley Regional Airport, Orlando Executive Airport, Dulles International Airport and New York Stewart International Airport; with additional campuses expected to be announced soon.
