There are reports that the Golden Corral buffet restaurant in Twin Falls has closed.
Although the company has not released any information, there are comments from (now former) employees sharing their experiences and knowledge related to the closure.
Why was Golden Corral in Twin Falls closed?
According to reports and comments from Golden Corral employees, the closure came as a complete surprise. Members of the community have also voiced their opinions on the closure.
We contacted the restaurant but there was an immediate dial tone on the phone and we are awaiting an email response from their corporate team. Their website still lists the location as open.

According to comments from employees:
- The company closed our plant today. Maybe it will be demolished and something else built there.
- Yes, and all of us as employees are very sad. We were a close-knit group of employees.
- This is such a bummer for all of us employees who work there. We all worked hard and were all a close group and they couldn’t do us the favor of letting us know in advance. I worked there as a waitress for three years and I’m so sad and angry that I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye to my regulars.
- I only started a week ago and now I have to look for another job. This sucks!
- I heard they were planning to build a tree stand there. I don’t know. I guess the company sold the property. None of us knew that until today.
Other comments indicate that the property has either been sold or the contract has expired and was not renewed.
We’re staying in touch with Golden Corral and will update this story if we get new information. We’re curious to see if they tell us why they closed, if it’s permanent, and if they’ll reopen in another location in town. There are Golden Corral restaurants in Boise, Coeur d’Alene, and Nampa.
