The local branch of the ChaseWell organization held an information session last week at the Paradigm building in Stephenville. ChaseWell CEO Kevin Miles is a Stephenville native and said he is excited to implement the program here.

Below you’ll find more information from Miles about the organization and their future plans in Stephenville.

ChaseWell, Inc. (www.chasewell.org), a national mental health advocate, is proud to announce a partnership with The Gathering Place. The goal of this collaboration is to make mental health services more accessible and supportive for those in need, specifically through the launch of a “Pay What You Can” counseling program.

With the growing need for mental health services in our area, ChaseWell and The Gathering Place have partnered to provide counseling services to those who cannot afford them, ensuring that financial constraints are no longer a barrier to accessing essential care. The “pay what you can” model allows individuals to seek professional counseling at a price they can afford, and ChaseWell covers the rest of the cost, ensuring no one is turned away because they cannot pay. This is accomplished by people in communities donating to support this cause.

In addition to this innovative outreach program, ChaseWell hopes to raise enough funds to employ an administrator to manage The Gathering Place’s growing team of volunteers and support groups. This support will improve coordination of services and allow The Gathering Place to expand its reach and impact within the community.

The partnership also includes plans to utilize the fitness room at The Gathering Place for additional mental health services. This expansion will allow for a variety of activities and support groups, creating a welcoming environment where people can connect, heal, and grow together.

“We are excited to partner with The Gathering Place on this important project to address the mental health crisis in our community,” said Kevin Miles, CEO of ChaseWell. “By removing financial barriers and expanding access to care, we are making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.”

Over the next month and a half, we will be sharing this story and hope to provide funding for The Gathering Place counselors to begin offering this to their clients on October 1. If you, your church or your organization would like to learn more, Kevin Miles is available to tell your group about ChaseWell and show you how you can get involved. Kevin can be reached at (email protected).
