The second episode of HBO’s Hard blows The Chicago Bears have been heavily focused on preparing the team for their preseason game on August 10 against the Buffalo Bills.

Caleb Williams may not have been in the spotlight as much as he did in the premiere, but the rookie quarterback still made his presence felt this week.

Perhaps the most notable moment for Williams was when he announced that he would like to play flag football in the Olympics.

A week after Williams was shown singing John Legend’s “Ordinary People” as his rookie karaoke song, fellow first-round pick Rome Odunze was tasked with putting his singing style to the test. The rookie wideout chose “Kiss Kiss” by Chris Brown.

HBO has taken advantage of the fact that a Bears player is marrying arguably the greatest gymnast in history, at a time when she is setting an Olympic record.

Jonathan Owens’ recent stay between preparing for the upcoming season with the Bears and a trip to Paris to support his wife Simone Biles was again a central focus of the show.

One of the notable things that happened on the field was the one-on-one practice battles between Keenan Allen and Jaylon Johnson. Allen even recognized He wasn’t able to catch many passes at the start of training camp, but the two aren’t holding each other back.

Jaylon Johnson and Keenan Allen are the ultimate competitors. Two guys who are total kickers and love to give their all every day. #Bears

My favorite section of #HardKnocks In the second episode, Keenan Allen and Jaylon Johnson competed against each other in a one-on-one match.
Neither of them will face many tougher opponents throughout the season and it is refreshing to see how much respect they have for each other’s qualities.

It’s hard to imagine a more optimistic time for the Bears since the 1985 season, when they won their 20th Super Bowl. They’ve had some very good years since then, including an appearance in their 41st Super Bowl, but the combination of Williams’ arrival and the talent surrounding the quarterback has completely changed expectations for the franchise.

The Bears are in a tough spot because their division has two playoff teams that once again look very good on paper. However, they have the potential to be a very dangerous team if Williams gets going early and the defense plays like it last did in 2023.

Through the first two episodes of Hard blowsThere is no indication that the Bears could not play a role in the NFC playoff race when the regular season begins.
