Imagine you own a Maserati Gran Turismo?

This is possible and for the price of a lottery ticket.

A generous individual has donated a 2011 Maserati Gran Turismo for a raffle benefiting Vets Returning Home (VRH), a Roseville-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing food and shelter to veterans in need, as well as programs and services to help them transition from homelessness back into society.

“We haven’t done any fundraisers since COVID, except for a small one last year,” said Sandy Bower, founder of the veterans group. “This is a great opportunity for you to win this amazing car for only $50 per ticket while helping our heroes.”

Giving away luxury vehicles and cool cars is not uncommon for the charity.

In 2018 they raffled off a Ford T-Bird.

The drawing raised over $35,000 and previously received Big Jim’s House Stone Soup Bronco. The souped-up vehicle, donated by programming station WCSX-FM (94.7), raised over $150,000 for the nonprofit.

“They chose us as a charity this year,” Bower said, recalling what a huge boost it was for VRH.

This year’s prize is in pristine condition and has only 30,000 miles on the clock. It’s also a convertible, which makes it an even bigger prize. Its resale value is between $40,000 and $50,000.

Tickets cost $50 each.

“We have the Maserati on display in the parking lot of our Veterans Thrift Store, so come by and see it in person,” Bower said.

Tickets are sold online at vetsreturninghome.org and in person at the thrift store.

The draw will take place on September 21st.

Vets Returning Home thrift store is located at 29523 Gratiot Ave. in Roseville. For more information visit vetsreturninghome.org
