This week, KFC added $5 deals to its Value Menu, Dairy Queen unveiled its new fall menu, and Coca-Cola and Oreo will collaborate on limited-edition products.

Coca-Cola and Oreo have announced a new collaboration that will be available from Monday, September 9. These include:
- Oreo Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie: The cookie has a distinctive red and black color block design with two unique base cakes, a classic chocolate cake with Coca-Cola syrup and a red and gold one with Coca-Cola motifs filled with a smooth white cream. The base cakes are paired with a Coca-Cola flavor and popsicles that provide a “fizz” sensation with every bite, the press release said.
- Coca-Cola Oreo Zero Sugar: Fans can enjoy the smooth blend of refreshing Coca-Cola flavor with aromatic Oreo cookie-inspired notes.

Chipotle CEO Brian Niccol will leave the fast-casual food chain to take over as CEO of Starbucks, the companies announced Tuesday.
Niccol will begin his new leadership role on Sept. 9, replacing Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan, who resigned “effective immediately,” the coffee chain said in a press release. Niccol’s last day as Chipotle’s CEO will be Aug. 31, the restaurant announced in a separate press release.
In the meantime, Rachel Ruggeri, CFO of Starbucks, will step in as interim CEO.

KFC has added brand new $5 offerings to its Taste of KFC menu, the restaurant chain announced Monday, joining the fast-food cheap meal wars with Jimmy John’s, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Burger King and Wendy’s.
“As customers place greater value on quality in brands, we are expanding our Taste of KFC line to include new KFC fan favorites like our Nuggets and Famous Bowls, each for just $5,” said Nick Chavez, chief marketing officer at KFC US, in a press release.
The Taste of KFC menu includes these $5 offerings:
- Chicken nuggets from KFC: Eight chicken nuggets, hand-breaded according to the original KFC recipe, fries according to the secret recipe and two sauces of your choice.
- Famous bowl with KFC chicken nuggets: Made fresh to order, Famous Bowls consist of a base of mashed potatoes, sweetcorn and KFC 100% white meat chicken nuggets, layered on top of each other, drizzled with homemade gravy and topped with three types of grated cheese.
- Two-piece drum and thigh: Two pieces of spicy, juicy chicken (leg and thigh), creamy mashed potatoes and gravy and a butter biscuit.
Dairy Queen unveiled its Fall Blizzard menu on Monday, featuring the usual fall flavors customers expect this time of year.
“While temperatures may not be calling for flannel shirts quite yet, the new Fall Blizzard menu offers fans the opportunity to enjoy seasonal flavors with the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat and the return of the highly coveted French Silk Pie Blizzard Treat – straight from the DQ Freezer,” says DQ of their new menu.
Dairy Queen’s Fall Blizzard menu launches August 26 and introduces the Caramel Java Chip Blizzard Treat, which features coffee, chocolate espresso crunchy pieces and caramel mixed with DQ’s world-famous soft serve ice cream.
Also returning to DQ as part of the fall menu:
- Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat: Pieces of real pumpkin pie mixed with DQ soft serve ice cream and topped with whipped cream and nutmeg.
- French Silk Pie Blizzard Treats: Chocolate chips, cake pieces and cocoa fudge mixed with DQ soft serve ice cream and topped with whipped cream.
- Oreo Fudge Brownie Blizzard Treats: Oreo cookie pieces, brownies and cocoa fudge mixed with DQ soft serve ice cream.
- Blizzard Treat with Salted Caramel Truffle: Salted caramel truffles, toffee pieces, chocolate chunks and cocoa fudge mixed with soft serve ice cream.
- Reese’s Pieces Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat: Reese’s Pieces, cookie dough and peanut butter topping, mixed with soft serve ice cream.
- Royal NY Cheesecake Blizzard Treat: Cheesecake pieces and graham cake pieces mixed with DQ soft serve ice cream filled with strawberry topping in the center.
