The weekly flavours for August at Stensland Family Farms This includes a new flavor: Salty Cow Tracks. Available August 28, it features light chocolate ice cream with chocolate caramel cups, cookie dough, a caramel swirl and a pinch of salt. Seasonal candy corn can be found in the dip case this week.

Next week, Invictus Pizza Kitchen opens early on Thursday, August 15, for breakfast pizzas and caramel rolls. Customize your pizza with one of three sauces, breakfast meats and “endless” fresh vegetables. Hours: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Check out the pizza presentation for August at Invictus Pizza Kitchen. The dough of your choice is topped with Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, meatballs, red onions and green peppers, and a drizzle of roasted garlic oil.

Recommended menu items for August at Maribella Restaurant These include Bucatini di Aragosta with lobster claw meat in a spicy lemon cream sauce, Supremo Piccante pizza with spicy pomodoro sauce, capocollo, eggplant, artichokes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil, and Tartufi di Cioccolata, dark chocolate truffles. The featured drink is Il Primo Caipirinha.

The dinner highlight of the month in R Wine Bar & Kitchen is a 225 g beef fillet with honey-pepper sauce and roasted broccoletti, asparagus and carrots.

As Cherry Rock Farms is waiting for its newly planted, flooded fields to be ready for harvest. It is still open Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. with limited offerings. The producer south of Brandon has added a self-serve option, open daily from 10 a.m. to dusk. Cash, check or Venmo payments are accepted.

LaDelle and Fourth Coffeehouse is offering its special back-to-school take-and-bake cinnamon roll kit. Get pre-made dough, cream cheese frosting, heart sprinkles, parchment paper, and instructions. A half dozen is $14 and a dozen is $25. A half gallon of iced latte in any flavor is $22, cold brew is $18, and homemade lemonade is $16. Order by Sunday and pick up on Wednesday.

Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe is celebrating national holidays this month with special offers. Sunday is National Panini Day with a BOGO offer. Tuesday is National Lemonade Day. Buy an appetizer and dessert and get a free flavored lemonade.

The bartender crew in Squealer’s Smokehouse in Tea has created three new drinks: Blueberry-jito, Raspberry Sherbet Mimosa and Peachy Keen.

The creator of Chief’s Bloody Mary Mix has died. Larry “The Chief” Plendl of Hudson died on August 1 at the age of 80. He started making Bloody Marys on Sundays, Waddy’s Bar & Grill in 2001. Waddy’s eventually began selling the blend in bottles at the bar and later expanded production to a new facility with retail distribution throughout the region. Read his obituary here.

Changes in opening hours, service

  • Gib’s Sports Bar & Grill is open every day of the week. Opening hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The Bunker Bar in Harrisburg has changed its hours. It is closed on Mondays and opens at 2 p.m. on Saturdays. New happy hour specials run daily from opening time to 6 p.m.: $1 off all beers, $2 off mixed drinks and $3 off pizza.
  • Fitness Revolution has additional evening opening hours on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
