Get your mug muscles in shape – St. Pete’s largest Oktoberfest is coming for round two. Presented by 3 Daughters Brewing, the 2nd Annual BayFirst Financial Oktoberfest is an all-day, beer and polka-fueled party on the waterfront at Albert Whitted Park on Saturday, September 28th from 1-6 p.m., featuring everything from German beer and food to a massive local market and traditional Bavarian music and games.

General admission tickets are $7 ($10 at the door) and include full access to the festival and its events, including the market, food trucks, beer tents and games. VIP Beer Garden tickets include an all-you-can-eat German buffet, three filled steins, an Oktoberfest stein, pretzel chains, a covered tent and private air-conditioned bathrooms. Children under 12 are admitted free but must be accompanied by an adult.

The festival is a true Bavarian fest, with real German polka bands playing all day (get your dancing shoes ready), traditional Oktoberfest games that are free to play (mug raising anyone?), tons of great German food from local chefs and food trucks, and of course, barrels upon barrels of cold local and international beer. The festival will also feature a massive market with more than three dozen of St. Pete’s best shops, makers, and more. After last year’s success, organizers are planning an even bigger fest this time around, with more tents, more seating, more beer, and most importantly, more booths to get beer from.

Overall, the event will be the city’s premier Oktoberfest, as the sprawling grounds will be the setting for a full day of waterfront fun. The entire festival is family-friendly and includes games for kids (and the young at heart) as well as ice cream and other kid-friendly foods.

Those who come in their best lederhosen and dirndls can compete for prizes for best dress, and 3 Daughters is also giving away a free Oktoberfest party at their brewery to one lucky winner. There will also be stein-holding contests throughout the day, a yodeling contest, an eating contest, Oktoberfest games and crafts, new beers, and a full food truck rally featuring some of our favorite St. Pete beers.

In addition to all the interactive fun, there will also be special Oktoberfest items (including commemorative steins) and a photo booth. Food trucks will be preparing special Oktoberfest dishes as well as showcasing their usual great food. Great Bay Distributors will be showcasing a wide variety of local, national and international beers.
