BJ’s Wholesale Club recently announced that it will be opening a new location in Southern Pines next year. Today, August 14, BJ’s held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of this new store.
“We are thrilled that BJ’s Wholesale Club will be opening its doors here in Southern Pines, North Carolina early next year. This will be our 10th club in the state of North Carolina,” said Briana Keene, Senior Manager of External Communications at BJ’s.
The new store is located in the new Morganton Park South shopping center. Located across from Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods and HomeGoods, this location is expected to see high levels of customer traffic.
The newest location offers a wide assortment of fresh foods and produce, a full-service deli, seasonal items, home decor, electronics, apparel and other everyday essentials that members have come to know and love from shopping at BJ’s Wholesale Club.
BJ’s offers its members several shopping options including shop at the club, home delivery, same day delivery, curbside pickup and pick up at the club. The new club in Southern Pines will also have a BJ’s gas station on-site, offering members low fuel prices.
“We help our members save up to 25% on grocery prices every day, which is a huge value for families. I’m a mom of two young children, so finding value and convenience every day at a club like BJ’s is really important for communities, and we believe this is a great community and a great fit for us. We’re just so happy to be here and look forward to opening our doors soon,” Keene added.
With a goal to “provide for the families who depend on us,” BJ’s is partnering with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Once the club opens, BJ’s will donate unsold fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy and more to the food bank each week to support the community.
Keene said they have begun hiring for the new location and are continuing to look for additional staff to work at the new location.
