FAIRBANKS – The Alaska Nanooks invite you to celebrate the return of the sports season with their second annual Food Truck Rally on Saturday, September 14th in the Patty Center parking lot. From 11:00 am to 9:00 pm we will have a line of food trucks.
10% of proceeds benefit the Alaska Nanooks volleyball program.
The Food Truck Rally will coincide with the final three games of the Denali State Bank Ice Block Classic. The first game is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a game at 2:30 p.m. Your Alaska Nanooks will finish the evening with UNC Pembroke at 7:00 p.m.
Admission to the game is free with purchases at the food truck. The first 100 fans at the Nanooks game will receive a limited edition Alaska Nanooks fishing hat.
Leading up to the Nanooks game, the Nanooks rifle team will be hosting a top shooting competition from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the EF Horton Rifle Range in the Patty Center. 10 shots are $10 and the best shooter of the day will win a Nanook rifle gift bag. The winner will be announced at the volleyball game at 7:00 p.m. You do not have to be in attendance to win. All proceeds will benefit Alaska Rifle in the upcoming 2024-25 season. Don’t miss your chance to shoot as part of the NCAA champion team!
The Nanooks women’s basketball team will host a 3-on-3 tournament at the Student Recreation Center, right next to the food truck rally. From 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., teams can compete in open or competitive divisions, with four games guaranteed.

The Nanooks men’s basketball team will host a skills practice for grades K-2 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and then again for grades 3-5 from 3:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
