Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 features dozens of aftermarket parts, powerful attachments that add new functionality to a weapon. This can range from small attachments that improve your close-quarter combat to fundamental overhauls in weapon behavior. The JAK Protean Kit clearly falls into the latter category.

These are the best builds for the Reclaimer 18 in MW3.

Installing this kit turns the MW2 RAAL LMG into a powerful sniper rifle/LMG hybrid. Switching to semi-automatic fire turns this weapon into a two-shot machine in all multiplayer modes, making it a solid option for medium-range engagements in Warzone. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to unlock the JAK Protean Kit and build the best loadout for it.

How to unlock the JAK Protean Kit

Modern Warfare 3 JAK Protean Kit Reward

The JAK Protean Kit is bound to the fourth set of weekly challenges in Season 5. Completing any five challenges in Week 4 will unlock the JAK Protean for the RAAL LMG. You will also need to unlock the RAAL to use this kit. If you haven’t played MW2, you will need to unlock this LMG through the Armory Unlocks system.

Installing the JAK Protean Kit reduces the base damage and overall mobility of the RAAL. In return, you get a slightly faster rate of fire and a clearly stronger semi-automatic mode. In semi-automatic mode, the JAK Protean can hit players from over 50 meters away with two hits.anywhere on the body (except leg shots). It is highly recommended to build this weapon for semi-auto mode. If you want a powerful full-auto LMG, use another MW3 LMG instead; the JAK Protean kit simply won’t do the trick.

This build is tailored to the RAAL’s semi-automatic modemaking it an aggressive sniper rifle that you can use on the go. Although the weapon’s mobility is not great, we can significantly improve its handling stats with ADS attachments. With this build we get an ADS speed of 300ms, but with some optimizations you can lower it even further.

We start with the equipment of the JAK Protean Kit to make the semi-automatic mode incredibly powerful. The optics that come standard are not that great, so we recommend installing Your favorite look—we prefer the Quartermaster Classic Reflex. We then install a 50-round belt magazine for better mobility, the FSS Riot Stock for handling and SL Razorhawk Laser to significantly improve our ADS speed.

If you want the build to accommodate more aggressive playstyles, you can Replace the stock with a demo folding stock. This will further reduce your ADS speed and significantly increase your mobility, but at the cost of significant optical recoil. Your actual recoil isn’t strong, but the visual wobble you experience with each shot is pretty extreme. If you can handle the increase in optical recoil, it’s worth using.

The Modular attack device is always a great choice for any multiplayer build. You get access to every possible loadout option, including two equipment perks. We use Quick-Grip Gloves to quickly switch to a close-range secondary weapon like the Renetti. We then equip All-terrain boots for a solid boost of all mobility statistics, then the Compression plate to instantly regenerate HP with kills.

The second gear advantage is yours. We prefer
Magazine holster
.

The gear here is the dealer’s choice; customize it to your favorite playlists. For general gaming, you can’t go wrong with Stimulants and the Medicine box Field upgrade for quick HP regeneration for situations where you cannot activate the compression plate.
