ABC gives Arkadelphia Restaurant and HSU green light to sell alcohol –

Three local businesses were granted permits by the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Board during a meeting on July 24.

According to the ABC website, an application for Ambar Mexican Restaurant to obtain a minimum mixed drink license was conditionally approved. Ambar is located at 112 WP Malone Dr., Arkadelphia. Maurio Williams is listed as the permit holder.

Sodexo Operations at Henderson State University received approval for three permits: off-site catering, large spectator facility at Garrison Center, and large spectator facility at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium. Neal Taggard is listed as the permit holder.

Smoker Friendly, a tobacco shop in Arkadelphia at 2708 Pine St. Suite C, was granted a conditional permit to sell beer for off-premises consumption. The permit holder is Richard Burns.

In neighboring counties: Beard and Buns Burger Co., 247 N. Adams Ave., Camden, received conditional approval to reactivate a permit to sell restaurant mixed drinks (minimum).

A Smoker Friendly at 940 Cash Road, Camden, received a conditional permit for take-away beer sales and small farm-vineyard sales.

A Dollar General 15045 Highway 9, Malvern was approved for take-out beer sales, retail sales of small farm wineries and grocery store wine sales.

Tony Wyatt of Malvern was granted conditional approval for the wholesale and production of wine from small farms.
