There are other businesses on the property, but the extent of the damage is unclear.

Videos posted on social media show flames destroying parts of the building.

“It was a madhouse. The smoke was just pouring out. It was really thick,” said Mike Monichetti, owner of the popular Mike’s Seafood near the fire site.

“The building is at least 80 years old, and the wood was fired up there… Once it started, it just started,” Monichetti added.

There are no reports of injuries.

“It is with great regret that we must announce that Casa Taco has burst into flames and the roof has collapsed. Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and this time we have to deal with it,” Casa Taco said in a statement. “The most important thing is that everyone is safe. We cannot thank our fire and rescue crews enough for their quick response and bravery.”

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
