Did you know that you can frolic in a 5-acre field just outside of Louisville surrounded by hundreds of vibrant sunflower blooms?

Eckert’s Orchard, 1396 Pinckard Pike, Versailles, Kentucky offers two ways to enjoy its field of 5-foot-tall sunflowers before summer ends.

Now through August 18, Eckert’s is offering the Sunflower Experience from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are available online starting at $10 and at the door starting at $12 (children under two are free). The Sunflower Farm Experience pass also includes field access so guests can pick the farm’s tree-ripened peaches and vine-grown blackberries and cut a sunflower to take home.

For those over 21, Eckert’s Orchard also offers “Sunflowers at Sunset” on Saturday, August 24th from 6-9 p.m., where guests can enjoy the sunset surrounded by sunflowers.

The evening begins with a complimentary cocktail followed by a tractor ride to the sunflower fields. The Lily’s Pad Food Truck and a special cocktail truck will offer food and drinks while guests enjoy a performance by Matthew Lunsford at sunset. After visiting the sunflower field and cutting your own flower, finish the evening with a complimentary Cider Donut Sundae, Yippee Pie Yay or Sundae.

Reservations are required for Sunflowers at Sunset and can be purchased for $25 per person on Eckert’s website. All guests must be at least 21 years of age to attend.

While visiting Eckert’s Orchard, you can also shop at the Orchard Market and purchase seasonal items such as freshly baked pies, jams, jellies, salsa and various treats to enjoy with family and friends.
