Jackery’s more robust Explorer 1000 v2 power plant is available in more countries

Jackery is known for making some of the most robust portable generators around. The company has also refreshed its Explorer catalog by adding new features and improving existing ones. Following the launch of the new Explorer 1000 v2 in the US, the company announced that it would launch the portable generator in Europe along with the new Explorer 240 v2 and the Solar Saga 100.

Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 uses safer LFP batteries

First of all, the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is a long-overdue successor to the popular and outdated Explorer 1000, introduced in 2020. The portable power station manufacturer seems to be making the version a worthwhile upgrade after four long years.

Jackery’s Explorer 1000 v2 has a slightly larger expandable battery capacity at 1,070Wh, 50Wh more than the v1. It also uses LFP or lithium iron phosphate cells, which means you can expect a longer lifespan compared to the lithium-ion cells of the previous model. This gives the Explorer 1000 v2 4,000 life cycles, according to Jackery.

Even better, the Explorer 1000 v2 has a rated output of 1,500 watts with a peak output of 3,000 watts, which should allow you to run more high-power appliances and tools in your home, garage, and RV.

Charging on the new Explorer 1000 has also been improved with version 2. In emergency mode, it can be charged in one hour. With standard charging, it can be fully charged in 1 hour and 40 minutes, which is still considerably faster than its predecessor.

Jackery has given the Explorer 1000 v2 improved fire and shock resistance. In addition, it is 20 percent more compact than its predecessor and weighs just 10.8 kilograms.

In terms of interface, the second-generation power station features three full-size AC outlets (US), a pair of USB-C ports, and a single USB-A port. There’s also an emergency LED light in case you get into a sticky situation. Not only can you view the status of the portable power station on the front-facing LCD screen, but you can also manage the device via the Jackery Smart app.

Jackery’s smallest Explorer 240 gets an improved version

In addition to the Explorer 1000 v2, the new Explorer 240 v2 was also mentioned, which is expected to be available in more markets. It is the company’s most compact portable power station yet, designed to fit in a backpack and is suitable for overnight camping or as a home backup. The tiny cube features a 256Wh LFP battery capacity with a single AC outlet and LED lamp.

In addition, Jackery’s new and lighter Solar Saga 100 solar panel is compatible with both Explorer power stations. One of the main features of the PV panel is the ability to directly charge smartphones and tablets without using a portable power station.
