What do the next two weeks hold for the Packers?

Buckle up for two very important weeks for the Green Bay Packers. Matt LaFleur’s team will participate in two joint practices and two preseason games before general manager Brian Gutekunst names both the 53-man roster and the 16-man practice squad (or 17 if international player Kenneth Odumegwu is granted a practice squad exemption).

In two weeks, the Packers will have completed their preseason schedule and all attention will be on the trip to Brazil, where they will play the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1. Before then, LaFleur must prepare his 91-man roster for two important joint practices and two preseason games that will help Gutekunst make all the important decisions regarding the composition of his roster for the 2024 season.

Here is the Packers’ upcoming schedule:

Thursday, August 15: Walkthrough training, trip to Denver
Friday, August 16: Joint training with the Denver Broncos
Sunday, August 18: Preseason game against Denver Broncos
Tuesday, August 20: Open training in Green Bay
Thursday, August 22: Joint training with Baltimore Ravens
Saturday, August 24: Preseason game against Baltimore Ravens
Tuesday, August 27: Deadline for squad reduction by 53 players
Wednesday, August 28: Start of training team

Note: The Packers’ public practice on Tuesday, August 20th has been rescheduled for 2:30 p.m. The practice on Thursday, August 22nd will be the last public practice during training camp.

The Packers open the 2024 season on Friday, September 6, in Sao Paulo against the Eagles.
