Paul Forman Feels Like the ‘Luckiest Man’ Working with Girlfriend Ashley Park (Exclusive)

Paul Forman can’t help but gush about the lady in his life.

At the LA premiere of Emily in Paris In season four, the 30-year-old actor tells PEOPLE that experiencing all the excitement — and chaos! — of the show’s demanding schedule and press tour alongside his girlfriend Ashley Park “means the world” to him.

Forman, 30, says he felt unwavering “support and friendship” from Park “from the beginning.”

“The relationship part came after we shot, but I felt that (support) from her from the beginning,” he says. “She’s so generous, so supportive. As a fellow cast member, I’m so lucky to be able to work with her — aside from our relationship.”

Forman, who plays Parks’ character Mindy’s lover, Nicolas de Leon, adds: “I feel like the luckiest man in the world.”

Forman also gave a taste of what to expect for his and Park’s characters in Season 4. The first part is available to stream now, with Part 2 premiering on September 12.

Forman notes that their characters’ relationship will be “a little uneasy,” saying, “I think the theme for Nick this year is overcoming obstacles, hurdles that get in the way of the company, trying to juggle everything… So I think that will be reflected in the relationship.”

In a recent interview with CosmopolitanPark, 33, spoke about the beginnings of her relationship with Forman, revealing that her friend and co-star Lily Collins was the one who first noticed the chemistry between the two.

“Lily noticed the chemistry. She said, ‘Ashley, what’s wrong?’ And I said, ‘Nothing. I told you I don’t date actors,'” Park recalled.

At first, Park and Forman were “just friends” and “we just hung out in a very platonic way,” but eventually things turned romantic. “One of the reasons I wanted to be friends with him and eventually fell in love with him is because he’s so generous and kind as a colleague and friend. I’ve never been with a straight white man who was more generous or better at collaborating on set. Never, never, never.”
