Following the application process for the sale of 2401 Upper Traverse Way Unit C in the Chamonix Vail neighborhood, the Town of Vail conducted a lottery drawing on August 13th at 1 p.m. There were 29 qualified applicants eligible to participate in the lottery and 73 tickets were drawn, with a maximum of 3 tickets awarded per applicant.
The top three lottery applicants – Lauren Walker, Olivia Cole and Ulrica Johansson – have received an email notification from the Housing Authority, including a link to confirm an appointment before 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, to review the necessary documentation for a final eligibility determination. To be considered for purchase, if selected, the applicant must provide proof of meeting the eligibility requirements no later than 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 15.
Applicants received at least one lottery ticket when they submitted a complete online application. Additional lottery tickets were awarded, up to a total of three, based on the following criteria:
- If you do not own unrestricted property in the Town of Vail at the time of submitting your lottery application, it will be considered one ticket.
- Unsuccessful participation in a City of Vail public housing lottery within the last 24 months prior to the scheduled lottery date. Applicants who are selected and do not make a purchase are not eligible to receive this ticket. Eligibility will be reinstated 24 months after selection and a declined purchase will be equal to one ticket.
