Helen M. Best, 86, of Seneca, PA, passed away at home on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

She was born on March 20, 1938, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas and Rose Hargenrader Eichner.

Helen was a graduate of Cranberry High School.

She married Richard W. Best on July 3, 1969; he died before her on November 23, 2020.

Helen had worked for many years as a secretary for Daugherty Brothers Real Estate and Joy Manufacturing.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Church and enjoyed reading and sewing.

She leaves behind four children: Michael Zimmermann of New Holland, James Zimmermann and his wife Diane of Barberton, OH,
Patrick Best of Emlenton and Rick Best and his wife Lisa of New Holland; daughter-in-law: Joyce Best of Knox; eight grandchildren: Michael, Zachariah, Gabriel, Cassidy, Elaine, Nathan, Robert, Nicole; and 7 great-granddaughters: Evelyn, Veronica, Marcelene, Opal, Lennix, Ellie and Sophia; brother: Thomas Eichner and his wife Marilyn of Rockville, MD; several nieces and nephews: special niece Anna Marie Steffee; and special friend Diane Stoltenburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son Timothy Best, her two daughters-in-law Heleane Zimmermann and Laurie Best, and her sister Mary Steffee.

There are no tours or visits.

The Reinsel funeral home is responsible for the organization.

Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
