Growing Rochester-based technology company with international reach seeks customers closer to home – Post Bulletin

ROCHESTER — Trbhia fast-growing Rochester-based technology company with a broad international customer base, is targeting smaller customers closer to home with its new artificial intelligence offerings.

Co-founded in 2012 by CEO Mani Thavasi and Chief Operations Officer Karthi NarayanaswamiTrbhi is based in the Mayo Clinic Business Accelerator in downtown Rochester. Trbhi is pronounced “tree-bee.” It is a Sanskrit word meaning “star” or “light.”

The company works with large enterprises in telecommunications, healthcare and retail, providing customized cloud transformation, technology modernization and, most recently, AI services.

Trbhi was recently appointed Inc. Magazineon the annual list of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies for the fourth time in seven years. Trbhi’s tremendous revenue growth of 223% from 2020 to 2023 secured the company a spot of 2,340 on the 5,000 companies list.

This growth continued in 2024.

“Over the last year, we’ve grown exponentially and expanded our customer base into Asia. We also operate across South America, North America and Canada, and have some customers in Europe. So we’re pretty globally distributed,” Narayanaswami said.

The global company, led by the two Rochester-based executives, has 215 employees operating in nine different countries. In its 12 years of operation, Trbhi has focused on enterprise clients, most of whom are not based in southeastern Minnesota.

Thavasi and Narayanaswami hope their new AI Agents for Small and Medium Businesses could be a service that companies in the region might be interested in using. AI Agents for SMBs are designed for companies without dedicated AI teams. Trbhi launched the AI Agents service for larger companies earlier this year.

“Our AI agents are a gateway to increased productivity and innovation without the need for in-house expertise,” said Thavasi.

Trbhi is one of four local companies among the 80 Minnesota companies that made Inc Magazine’s 2014 list. The Fibersmith Co. Blooming Prairie achieved this with 482% revenue growth from 2020 to 2023.

Busy Baby of Oronoco recorded growth of 411%, while the

Rochester’s media manager reported 96% growth.

Like Trbhi, Fibersmith, Busy Baby and Media Manager have all previously appeared on the list.
