Police said SWAT officers arrested a man Monday afternoon several hours after he allegedly fired shots at a building in Highland Park and fired another shot hours later.

According to Los Angeles police, officers received a call at 1:39 a.m. Thursday that the suspect allegedly fired a 9mm handgun at the door of a building in the 6300 block of York Boulevard. It is unclear whether it was a home, business or other location.

When officers arrived, he was gone, the LAPD said.

But according to police, the same man is accused of firing a gun again several hours later.

Shortly before 2 p.m., LAPD said there was another call that he had fired a shot outside his own home. When officers arrived at the scene, witnesses told them he had returned to his home, police said.

The shooting occurred in the 6000 block of Delphi Street, about a mile from the area of ​​the previous shooting.

SWAT officers responded and the suspect remained barricaded inside the building until he came out and surrendered around 1:30 p.m. Footage shows him walking out into the area with his arms raised before SWAT officers handcuffed him.

Authorities have not released any further details.
