Woman arrested after attacking several people at gas station

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – A woman was arrested after assaulting several people and driving while intoxicated with children in the car.

Kimberly Soper is charged with child neglect, aggravated assault, simple assault, assault on a minor, possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

On August 13, Fargo Police responded to a report of a physical disturbance at Simonson’s Gas Station at 3810 Main Avenue.

When police arrived, they found Soper’s three children in the back seat of her car. Officers also said they could smell alcohol on Soper.

A woman at the gas station told police that Soper approached her on her way back to her vehicle and began making confused statements. The victim said she got into her car and closed the door. Then Soper opened the door and continued making confused statements about looking for a man to watch her children, records say.

According to police, Soper grabbed the victim by the neck, choked him for five seconds and bit his ear. According to court documents, the victim had visible redness on his neck and ear. Officers were also told Soper pulled another person’s hair and hit a third person at the gas station.

While attempting to arrest Soper, she physically resisted police officers, ignored commands, and damaged a person’s rear license plate.

According to court documents, when officers searched Soper’s car they found several open liquor bottles, 24.1 grams of marijuana and a marijuana grinder. Soper refused to take a breathalyzer test.
