Stock up on RPG gear at KEMCO’s Mid-Summer Sale, now live – TouchArcadeWe’re in the home stretch of summer now, friends. There aren’t usually many great new releases during this time. The weather is too hot and outside is the last place you want to be. Good TV? Pff. Not really. Maybe you can go to the movies and watch Borderland? No, this time of year is meant for relaxing and playing some RPGs, and KEMCO, as always, is committed to meeting your needs in that regard. They have prepared some special offers for you on several of their mobile RPGs, and some of them are hard to resist.

As always, remember that KEMCO is not Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. These are, by and large, cheap but serviceable examples of the genre. Still, some are better than others, and I think there are some of the better ones in these sales. I’ll check back after the list and tell you which ones. Excitement!

Sword of Elpisia – ($1.99)
Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom – ($3.99)
Frane: Dragons’ Odyssey – ($0.99)
Search hearts – ($1.99)
Dark Gate – ($1.99)
Grinsia – ($0.99)

Okay, as promised I’m back. If you want something different (and honestly a little more polished) than the usual KEMCO releases, check out Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom. It is a crafting RPG and well made for what it is. I liked Frane much earlier, but the app is ancient, so be careful. It is an action RPG, though, and that is nifty. If you remember About ageit is the same developer and plays similarly. Finally, Sword of Elpisia is the newest of the bunch. Does that mean it’s the best? Probably not, but maybe you like what years of experience have produced.

Those are the sales, and those are my thoughts. Grab a couple of these cheap RPGs if you need a bit of casual gaming to keep your brain busy for a few days while we wait out these ridiculous temperatures. And if you’re a KEMCO skeptic… give it a try Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom. Trust me, buddy!
