What could be better than taking long, romantic walks through the thrift store? Especially when you find something out of the ordinary. If you like that, today is your lucky day.

Saturday is National Thrif Shop Day and to celebrate, Deco has gone bargain hunting.

Amanda Seyfried (as Karen Smith): “Get in, loser! We’re going shopping!”

Yup. That’s exactly what we’re doing because National Thrift Shop Day is just around the corner.

Okay, let’s see what’s available at Goodwill.

Deborah Rodriguez: “For second-hand shoppers all over the world, it’s a day to come and see what’s going on in the shops. It’s a great way to come and go on the hunt to see what you can find and what exciting things are unique to your style that you can’t find anywhere else.”

Buying second-hand is about more than just finding basic items for your wardrobe.

Deborah Rodriguez: “Secondhand shopping is extremely important because it not only keeps things out of landfills and extends the life of used items, but it also funds our mission. So when you shop at Goodwill, you know you are also giving back to the community and helping us hire and train more people with disabilities and other barriers to work here in South Florida.”

And secondhand shopping is not only good for Mother Nature, it also helps you put together a unique wardrobe.

Deborah Rodriguez: “Here you can find shirts that you won’t find anywhere else. It can be something vintage or retro, completely unique pieces. We get donated items that may have been made in someone’s home and that are given a second life here.”

See for yourself. We spoke to a professional saver.

Jeismelyn Chiu: “Every time I come, it’s like a little treasure hunt to see what I can find. And just putting together my own wardrobe and having the uniqueness of everything really makes a huge difference.”

Come and show us your fashion finds.

Jeismelyn Chiu: “My entire outfit is secondhand. These boots are from Goodwill, the skirt and shirt are also under $10. That’s another reason I love secondhand shopping: everything is much more accessible and affordable.”

So many people shop with style.

Deborah Rodriguez: “We’ve seen an increase in millennials and Gen Z shoppers who are excited to find these unique pieces. I think people should really shop at thrift stores every day, not just Thrift Shop Fay, because it’s fun, it’s exciting what you’re going to find, and you’re always going to find the same thing in every unique store. Everything is always going to be different.”
