“We’re back!” Fiesta Cancun in Oconomowoc to reopen in 2023 after fire

On Friday, Fiesta Cancun announced the reopening of its doors, about 17 months after the Oconomowoc restaurant was forced to close due to fire damage, according to a Facebook post on the company’s official page.

“TGI… Fiesta!!!! We’re back!” the company wrote in the Aug. 16 post. “Our doors are open and we’re excited to serve you your favorite foods and drinks again! We ask for your patience and understanding while we troubleshoot the issues and keep everything running smoothly!”

News of the restaurant’s reopening sparked a wave of reaction on social media, with the Facebook post receiving over 700 likes and being shared more than 110 times just hours after it was published.

In advance of the reopening, Fiesta Cancun staff documented the restaurant’s renovations on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

The restaurant was forced to close its doors after a fire broke out on March 10, 2023 for unknown reasons. The fire also left a family homeless who lived in the apartment above Fiesta Cancun.

According to the company’s Facebook post, Fiesta Cancun is not taking reservations or DoorDash orders while they “get back into a normal rhythm.” They are also still working on getting the phone line back up and running.

“Hope to see you this weekend or soon! ¡Tequila!” the Fiesta Cancun staff signed their Facebook post.

According to Google, the restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:15 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:15 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
