America’s saddest pizza: A lackluster pizza from Miami Airport goes viral for all the wrong reasons

America’s saddest pizza: A lackluster pizza from Miami Airport goes viral for all the wrong reasons

A pizza bought at Miami airport is causing an uproar on the Internet because of its pathetic appearance.

A snapshot of their dodgy-looking pizza was shared by Reddit user TheIndustrialMachine, who claimed he bought the pathetic pizza from Maestro Della Pizza in the airport’s main terminal.

In the picture, the pizza appears to be little more than a rectangle of lumpy store-bought dough with a translucent layer of red sauce on top.

On the pizza there are two and a half slices of pitifully colored mozzarella, which however does not cover the entire surface and is clearly not melted.

The Reddit user captioned his photo: “The worst looking and tasting pizza I’ve ever eaten.”

The picture of the pizza quickly went viral and the post received nearly 900 upvotes and 311 comments.

Many pizza lovers made fun of this miserable dish, which soon became perceived as an insult to pizza all over the world.

“What an embarrassing, sad, horrible, depressing, awful insult to pizza,” wrote one user.

Another simply commented: “This is the worst pizza I have ever seen.”

This justified outrage was also reflected in another user’s comment: “Legally, this cannot be called pizza.”

“If that was more than $3.50, you got robbed,” someone remarked.

TheIndustrialMachine responded to this comment and, to the horror of other users, revealed that they had paid $12.

“(The) box was closed and I couldn’t see it before purchasing it. I ate it anyway,” they wrote, adding, “There aren’t many food options in Terminal G at MIA.”

According to the Miami New Times, the Central Terminal includes Halls E, E-Satellite, F and G, where the user says they are located.

The dining options in the terminal are limited, with only four restaurants to choose from.

With 21 reviews, the pizzeria only achieved a rating of 1.9 stars.

A Yelp user named Ben H. wrote a scathing review about the restaurant’s tragic pizza.

“Probably the worst pizza ever,” he wrote. “It looked like a pizza box with melted cheese on top. Little Caesars looks like a 5-star restaurant compared to that.”

“And for $12?” he continued. “In hindsight, I wouldn’t have eaten that pizza if she had given it away.”
