West Pensacola could become home to a new Chick-fil-A restaurant after a zoning plan was filed with Escambia County on Tuesday. The project is slated for the corner of Mobile Highway and Tonawanda Drive.

Preliminary site plans for the project show that developers are planning for the restaurant to span over 5,000 square feet and provide 74 indoor seats, 12 outdoor seats and nearly 70 parking spaces.

The same plans show that the restaurant’s address will be 4735 Mobile Highway at this stage of the project’s approval process by the Development Review Committee.

As part of the project, developers also plan to create two drive-through lanes and two access roads. One access road will lead to Mobile Highway, while the other will provide access to Tonawanda Drive.

Chick-fil-A in Pensacola: New location planned for Uptown Pensacola

Chick-fil-A already has a handful of restaurants across the country, and this project is the second new location proposed this year.

In June, another development proposal was submitted to the county to build a Chick-fil-A in University Town Plaza near Bubba’s 33.

Plans for this project were reviewed by the DRC on June 25 and the developers have not submitted any updated plans.
