Jesse Eisenberg is a famous American actor, best known for his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg in the critically acclaimed film “The Social Network,” for which he received an Oscar nomination. He gained further recognition for his role as an illusionist in the popular “Now You See Me” series. Now, the third installment in the Heist film series is being filmed in Budapest. Jesse Eisenberg’s interest in illusions and magic may have grown when he visited a magic shop in the heart of the Hungarian capital.

The shop owner’s experiences with the actor

View writes that the American actor was very nice to the shop owner. István Szabó, owner of the magic shop, says:

Although the magic tricks in Now You See Me are movie tricks or stunts performed by a hand double, Jesse Eisenberg, perhaps influenced by the movies and his magician character, has a serious interest in magic. He was looking for a specific trick, a deck of cards sewn together, but he didn’t settle on a single branch of magic.

They even took a photo together.

Mastering new tricks

István Szabó was overwhelmed by the actor’s interest. Jesse Eisenberg was more than happy to learn a few new tricks from István’s colleague:

My colleague Vince showed him a lot of tricks. He was interested in the shell game, but he also bought a mentalist trick. He really wanted to learn the card coloring trick that was in the movie, but he didn’t do it there. So Vince gave him a ten-minute crash course. Who knows, maybe he can use the skills he learned here not only in real life, but in the movie too!
