OLD HOWARD BEACH, Queens (WABC) – The Howard Beach-JFK Airport subway station was accidentally cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner on Saturday morning – and train traffic is disrupted.

Emergency crews responded to the area of ​​159th Avenue and Coleman Square, where they discovered the burst water pipe shortly before 7 a.m.

The MTA says A trains heading to Far Rockaway are avoiding the area while authorities investigate.

In the meantime, shuttle buses are available between the station and Aqueduct North Conduit Avenue.

Customers can also travel to Broad Channel and cross to the other side to catch a northbound train that still stops in Howard Beach.

Meanwhile, the Port Authority said Kennedy Airport’s Airtrain service had not been disrupted.
