In an emotional new video uploaded to her Instagram story on Saturday, Bebe Rexha claims she was “threatened” by a security guard because she speaks Albanian.

Sharing footage of herself crying with her 11.9 million followers, the 34-year-old singer explained that she was emotionally upset because she was reportedly denied boarding her Lufthansa flight from Munich Airport.

“I was threatened because I thought the security guard was Albanian. I spoke to him in Albanian and asked where I could get my ticket and now he is not allowing me to board the flight,” she claimed.

In a second video she recorded after the incident, Rexha filmed herself crying with mascara running down her face before detailing what had happened.

“I believe this is a hate crime because I am Albanian,” she wrote in a statement. “He did not let me take his name. He continued to psychologically abuse me to make me feel more powerful than him.”

She continued: “None of the women at @Lufthansa intervened or said anything. He wouldn’t give me his name. But I just found out he works for ATSG, a document control service provider contracted by Lufthansa.”

Rexha then reposted another Instagram user’s request to bring the singer “home safely” from Munich airport and to “investigate the male police officer who threatened a woman” for speaking Albanian.

Rexha’s legal first name is Bleta, which means “bee” in Albanian.

She previously revealed that her mother and father called her by the nickname “Bebe” from a young age.

The four-time Grammy nominee’s posts come just a month after she declared in a series of passionate tweets that she was fed up with the music industry.

The star also claimed that the information she did not share could “bankrupt a large part of this industry” as she vented her frustration.

“I was UNDERMINED. I was so quiet for the longest time. I didn’t see the signs even though people bring them up all the time and they were SO OBVIOUS,” she wrote in a post shared with X.

She continued, “And when I have spoken my mind, I have been silenced and PUNISHED by this industry. Something has to change or I am speaking ALL of my truths. The good, the bad and the ugly.”

The singer, who rose to fame after helping to compose Eminem’s 2013 hit single “The Monster,” returned to the platform to clarify that her post was “not just out of anger.”

“It’s sadness. I’m sitting in my hotel room in London crying my eyes out,” she wrote. “I’ve felt hopeless for the longest time. I’ve been walking around this city a lot and meeting fans and they’ve really sparked something in me.”

When a fan asked under the post “What happened again?” Rexha replied: “Again? You haven’t even heard 5 percent. You have NO CLUE.”

When asked who had stopped her from expressing her opinion, the musician wrote back: “THEY ARE PUNISHING YOU.”
