According to Federal Realty, Pelicana Chicken has signed a deal to take over the space that was long home to Woodside Deli in Rockville at 4 N Washington Street. Woodside Deli closed in the summer of 2022 after 12 years at the Courthouse Center in Rockville.

This will be Pelicana Chicken’s first location in Maryland. There are nearby locations in Annandale and Sterling, VA. Pelicana Chicken first announced the Rockville location in April of this year and said the grand opening was coming soon, but an opening date has not yet been set.

Per Restaurant: Pelicana Chicken was founded in 1982 in Daejeon, South Korea. Since its establishment, Pelicana has opened over 3,000 stores and continues to grow aggressively overseas. Pelicana Chicken’s success is due to its variety of delicious sauces, chicken varieties and fresh ingredients.
