HARVEY, Louisiana (WVUE) – A man who was shot at an apartment complex in Harvey Saturday afternoon (Aug. 17) managed to drive two blocks before dying in his vehicle outside a busy shoe store, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
The identity and age of the victim were not disclosed.
According to JPSO, the victim was shot shortly after 1 p.m. in an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Manhattan Boulevard. He managed to escape into the parking lot of a nearby shopping center in the 800 block of the street, at the intersection with the 1600 block of the Westbank Expressway.
The victim’s car – a black Honda HRV – came to a stop in the parking lot of the Skechers Warehouse Outlet at 1600 Westbank Expressway. Authorities said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The JPSO said it has not yet found a suspect or motive for the murder.
