Ahmedabad: The rent for the newly built Party plot To Sindhu Bhavan Road The fees managed by the AMC have been set higher than all other party plots and community halls in the city managed by the corporation.

The decision, which was given the green light during the standing committee meeting on Friday, positions the city council’s latest offering as a “premium venue” in the western part of the city.
The party plot, constructed by the AMC on a 10,846 sq. ft plot on Sindhu Bhavan Road (SBR) in Thaltej district, has a daily rental rate of Rs 80,000 for weddings, receptions and other commercial purposes, as fixed by the property department. Those who wish to host charitable or religious gatherings can avail a reduced rate of Rs 40,000 per day. Additionally, a security deposit of the daily rental rate has to be paid and separate charges for electricity, cleaning and other taxes apply.
The proposal submitted to the standing committee included the rental rates of five nearby private party plots and resulted in the approval of the rental proposal for the new party plot on Sindhu Bhavan Road.
“SBR’s party plot is located on a reserved plot in TP project of Thaltej district and covers about half of the total area of 21,938 square metres,” said a senior AMC official, adding that the strategic location justifies a premium price.
This premium plot is divided into two parts, A and B. “Part A, measuring 10,846 square feet, has been earmarked for the party plot. This party plot is located near the Taj Skyline hotel on SBR, making it a prime location,” adds the AMC representative.
The rents for the five private party plots within a radius of 0.5 to 2 km range from Rs 400,000 to Rs 1 million.
