Elizabeth Debicki: “The Crown” ended in the right place

Debicki also acknowledged the show’s self-confidence, saying: “There are moments when The Crown is very aware of what it is. It doesn’t try to hide the fact that it’s a drama and a television drama. I like that kind of self-awareness and the use of such devices.”

As The Crown received 18 Emmy nominations for 2024, including a nomination for Debicki for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama. She expressed her excitement by saying, “I was so thrilled that so many of us were nominated. This really feels like the cherry on the cake of such a beautiful cause.”

Looking back on her time on the show, Debicki reflected on the long journey she and her costars have experienced over the past three years. “It’s just a beautiful end to a long and beautiful – but sometimes really challenging – chapter as an actor,” she said.
