Even when she’s on the Greek coast, Alexa Chung is never far away from sparking a new seasonal trend. With a pretty skirt style that I predict will be trending next month, the presenter proved her keen sense of style is still intact.

Chung put together a pretty ensemble with a fashion girl twist, pairing her white bralette with the lace skirt trend while on vacation this week. Chung opted for a style in a pale blue shade and her skirt featured a contrasting white trim that traced the edge of the garment. While her Greek island look was tailored to the warm temperatures of late summer, I know it secretly nods to one of the big upcoming fall trends.

And it wasn’t the first time she experimented with a lace-trimmed skirt—last week I saw Chung wear a black and white lace-trimmed skirt under an oversized white blouse, proving her dedication to this soon-to-be-classic wardrobe staple.

While Chung paired her lace-hem skirt with white tops on vacation, I’ve seen the trend take on a very autumnal silhouette when worn with knee-high leather boots and a black leather jacket. The piece maintains a romantic energy and offers tons of styling versatility. It wears well with ruffle layers for a pretty look, but also works well with sturdier pieces like leather pieces and denim for a point of difference.

The lace fashion trend is a major part of the fall season and is already a favorite in the closets of fashion-conscious people. Having graced the Fall/Winter 2024 runway collections back in February, I expect to see lace worn perfectly in layers over the next few months.
