In Massachusetts, businesses continue to have to close their doors. Whether shops, banks, pharmacies or restaurants – many long-established businesses cannot stay afloat.
Over the years, the shopping culture has changed as more people shop online. But at the same time, people are having to tighten their belts as many people, including Massachusetts, are struggling to make ends meet, so they are shopping less and eating out less.
A popular Massachusetts restaurant that has closed many restaurants over the years will close another one in September.
Friendly’s in Greenfield will close its doors in September. According to various online news articles, the restaurant at 200 Mohawk Trail will close and a new Starbucks restaurant will take over the space.
As mentioned, Friendly’s has had to close many restaurants over the past few years. I remember here in Berkshire County, Friendly’s had at least one restaurant on every corner of the county, including North Adams, Pittsfield (2), Lee, Lenox, and Great Barrington. Now there is only one Friendly’s left in the Berkshires, which is the location on Dalton Ave. in Pittsfield.
If you have any questions about the impending closure of the Greenfield restaurant this September, you can contact Friendly’s here or by phone at (413) 774-5435.
