For over 60 years, Eagle Harbor has hosted the annual Copper Country Associated Artists Art Fair. The fair is held in the heart of the small town and welcomes people of all ages to see and interact with local artists. Linda Dodge, chair of the CCA Artists Eagle Harbor Art Fair, says that over the years, an estimated 200 people have come to the village regularly to participate in the event, which includes local food, art and music.

One of our new vendors this year is a gentleman who makes hats, so it will be interesting to see what he will be doing. We have several new oil, acrylic and watercolor artists participating this year, which is very, very good. Very often we have more jewelers than artists. And this year it’s kind of the other way around. We have a lot of new artists doing different and varied types of art.. – Linda Dodge, Eagle Harbor Art Fair Chair, Copper Country Associated Artists

This year’s 63rd Eagle Harbor Art Fair features more than 60 area artists, with some works available in oil or watercolor. Dodge also says pottery and handmade jewelry were a popular purchase at the fair.

The fire station offers hot dogs, potato chips, and drinks. And then we have a bake sale sponsored by the EMT, the Emergency Medical Team. And every year we work for something that they need. One year it was EpiPens. And this year I think it’s battery packs for their communication systems. So it’s for a very good cause. And of course the wonderful ladies are very good bakers in Eagle Harbor and they donate all their goods.. – Linda Dodge, Eagle Harbor Art Fair Chair, Copper Country Associated Artists

The Eagle Harbor Art Fair begins tomorrow in Eagle Harbor and will be held at Saint Peter’s by the Sea Church.
